Units of study include: manicuring, facials, haircutting and shaping, hair styling, hair coloring, permanent waving, and shop management. Students must complete 1,000 hours of training during their junior and senior years to take the State Board Examination, so good attendance is very important. Certification:A Basic Operators License requires 1000 hours of cosmetology class attendance and a high school diploma.
