First year students study: number systems, safety, computer installation/dismantling, partitioning, formatting, installing drivers, adding peripherals, wireless, operating systems, introduction to office, introduction to web pages using notepad, wiring, cabling, and networking. |
The learning is done through hands-on training. Each person is expected to do all labs individually. Adults are allowed to enroll all day, and will attend first year classes one half day and second year classes the other half day. Night classes are not certified in the same manner, thus, can not be substitute any part of the class. Goal is A+, and Network+ certifications (nationally recognized). A+ certifies that you have some computer knowledge or skills. Network+ certifies that you have the skills needed to work with networks. |
